Our Story

My name is Ray DeRico, and honoring my father’s legacy has always been my dream.
My dad, Romeo, founded Ray’s Catering many years ago, and growing up by his side shaped my love for food and serving others. With the help and support of my wife, Sharon, that dream is now alive again. Together, we proudly own and operate Ray’s Catering LLC — a true family business built on tradition, passion, and great homemade food.

Sharon and I both grew up in the catering world, and we bring decades of combined experience to every event. Our three daughters — Jessica, Heather, and Jennifer — were raised around the business, and two still jump in to help at events. With four wonderful grandchildren and a large extended family behind us, family remains at the heart of everything we do.

Our History

Ray’s Catering began with my father, Romeo DeRico, whose hard work, recipes, and passion set the foundation for everything we do today. After the business was closed for several years, Sharon and I revived it to continue his legacy — combining his original traditions with fresh ideas, a fully equipped food truck, and expanded catering services.

From small gatherings to large celebrations, Ray’s Catering has grown into a trusted name for weddings, corporate events, community festivals, and family parties across Connecticut. What has never changed is our commitment to quality, homemade dishes and the belief that every event should feel like a family celebration.
